Here you have the book scanned in picture format: rainman in jpegs

If you want to watch the film and don’t know how to get it, I am going to put some links here.

Here you have it in “.doc” format.

Monday Reading 3

26 04 2009

Hello All:

To be fair with everybody, as we didn’t decide on a Monday reading for the 27th of April, I am uploading this VOLUNTARY reading. Read it if you can, so you can practice your vocabulary. I am going to ask questions to the ones who have read it. They’re easy and fun. It’s a good chance.

Monday reading 3

Yours,

J C A.

unaplogo According to the university term plan, there won’t be classes on Monday 6th, between 8:00 AM and 1 PM. Our pending activities are thereby postoponed to next class.

New handouts : Spelling and “The House on Mango Street”

26 03 2009

The new handouts are available at the photocopy centre “Cigeno” (on Manuel Plaza, across from the east entrance to the university). The ones about punctuation are there, too. We are going to finish using them this week. The new ones are about spelling and descriptive writing; we are going to use them next week, so do not forget to copy them.

The copy centre is open from around 10:30 to 21:30, from Monday to Satuday.

The material will be is available on the web very soon:

Conquering the comma.

The house on Mango Street.

2nd Week…

23 03 2009

Dear all: We have now a second week of classes. Time flies, doesn’t it? Well, I am here to tell you what we are going to do this week. Maybe there aren’t many of you because of the welcome activities for the freshers. Well, anyway we are moving on with the contents.  For today, Monday, we are going to:

– Check the homework (comma splice, sentence fragment, run-on sentence)

– Finish with colons and semicolons exercises.

– Talk about commas and do some exercises.

I am preparing the rest of the handout right now and you have to take copies of it for next class. I think “La Bombonera Photocopy Centre” “Cígeno”  is the best place right now. You are responsible to find out when it is convenient to go there. Find out when it opens, when it is crowded and when it closes. I shall try to have the material available in digital formats, too.

Here you have the punctuation handouts with the exercises.

You can also get them from this website: http://www.washoe.k12.nv.us/northvalleyshs/students/englishowl/page9.html

and in the  SIGA.
